Panasonic MC7500 Mountain Bike - Used in the pilot of Cruel Summer
Up for your consideration today is this MC7500 ( Mountain Cat 7500 ) by Panasonic. This top of the line model in 1988 used all the best stuff the industry had to offer. Tange Prestige heat treated tubing, lugged frame, Shimano Deore XT components, chain stay mounted "U" brake and more.
In addition, this bike was the actual one used in the pilot for the Cruel Summer series. This is not a copy, clone, or made to look like the one in the movie - It's the actual bike ridden by Jeanette (
Chiara Aurelia).
This bike is in mostly unrestored original condition. The seat and cables were changed out at some point. Nothing else has been replaced, changed, altered, modified or repaired.  The frame does have a few scuffs and scratches ( pictured below) and the tires are pretty dry but still hold air. One brake lever rubber is slightly torn. The bike is rideable with everything working but it has not been cleaned or lubricated.
